We are experiencing some exciting days at VBC! We had a very successful "Friend Day" this past Sunday where we had 122 in worship which is a record for Victory attendance at this spot on 319. We baptized 2 and had one come for salvation and baptism at the invitation time. Having Mayor Julie Smith and her husband Doug here was special and we certainly want to continue to pray for Mayor Smith as she leads our fair city. Victory truly is the "Friendly Church in the Friendly City"!
On another note there were 33 who turned out for our first big night of G. O. Outreach this past Monday night! That was a great encouragement for this pastor as we go forward! We are faithfully planting seeds all across this city and God has promised He will bring the increase! We start the first Pastor's Breakfast this Sunday morning at 9:30 in the gym and I'm looking forward to a great many of our first time attenders being there. Please pray for that time as folks will be introduced to the ministry opportunities of our church, I will share the gospel and they will be given the chance to join VBC right there. We will then introduce them in church! Many thanks to Judy Harper and Cathy Davis for getting the breakfast ready and please know that I am looking for at least one couple to do set up for me each and every week. If we have more than one couple we can then do a rotation so you will be able to attend Sunday School. Please let me know if you would be willing to help.
I look forward to seeing you this Sunday at 9:45 for Sunday School and worship with your bible in your hand and a smile one your face as we together anticipate God's presence!
